The MING ® brand derives its name from the famous MING Dynasty which ruled China between 1368 and 1644. One of the greatest eras of orderly government and social stability in human history and is credited with major construction accomplishments such as the restoration of the Grand Canal, the Great Wall of China, one of the old seven wonders of the world, and the establishment of the globally renowned Forbidden City.

The high quality galvanised MING ® fittings are individually hot dipped to increased corrosion resistance, individually pressure tested to ensure they remain pinhole free and banded at key stress points to enhance strength. All fitting threads are coated with a light oil to prevent corrosion, conform to the BSPT - 21 (ISO 7-1) standards and are ISO 9001:2000 certified.

These MING ® fittings were rigorously tested by the Automatic Sprinkler Inspection Bureau (ASIB) against local South African standards and were found to be "equal to or better than any other product currently available". MING ® fittings are now certified by the ASIB for fixed fire protection installations.
